From cotton spinning to high-tech nonwovens
Not only has the name of TENOWO GmbH evolved over the years – continuous further development of the product range through the company’s own research and development activities is also a decisive driver of growth that ensures the long-term success of the company. TENOWO GmbH can thus boast a long tradition: back in 1869, the establishment of ‘Neue Baumwoll-Spinnerei Hof’ laid the cornerstone for the subsequent textile group to which TENOWO GmbH, among others, belongs today.
Founded in 1928 and originally specialising in woven interlinings and pocket linings for the apparel industry, the company began producing nonwovens back in 1976. To meet the industry’s rising demand for technical textile products, in 1985 the product programme was expanded to include nonwovens for technical applications – chiefly for the automotive industry at the time.
Today, the business units for technical nonwovens and interlinings represent the supporting pillars of Tenowo, offering products that include acoustic nonwovens, nonwovens for the construction industry, the cable industry, filtration applications and for the areas of health care and composites or interlinings for the apparel sector.
Thanks to its global alignment, with locations in Europe, America and Asia, Tenowo is a future-driven firm.
